The Maryborough District Family History Society today launched Ted Weber's book "Pioneers in a new Land; the History of the Weber Family in Australia". Four Weber brothers came to Queensland and founded something of a large family in the Maryborough area. Of course the descendants spread all over Queensland. One brother went to WA about 1890. The book is available from MDFHS PO Box 408 Maryborough Q 4650 and costs $25 posted in Australia. Overseas mailing on application. This book is very good value and includes many descendancy charts and photos. A must if you are descended from any of the brothers. Sandra Armstrong President MDFHS
G'day Sandra, My husband's paternal grandmother was Maria Weber. Is she in the book? Also a link with Valentine [Joseph] Weber married Wilhelmine Frederika Baumann 19 Aug 1866. Definately interested if either are mentioned in the Weber Book. Hi Sandra, My gg grandmother was Johannetta Wilhelmine WEBER b.10 June 1824 in Guisser, Germany. She arrived Arrived on "Caesar Goddefroy". 31 March 1856 in Grafton, New South Wales, Australia. Her parents were Maria Elizabeth SACK and Johannes WEBER. She married Johannes WUNDERLICH, 30 September 1856 in Church of England, Grafton, New South Wales. I would be interested in the book if there is a link to the WEBERs in the book.
