They are from Barnstedt, Holstein, Germany and Strohdick, Neuendorf, Germany. they had a child Maria (Anna Margreta??) who married her cousin Johann BIEL at Wansbeik in Germany, then migrated to Brisbane. I think they must have belonged to a large German community as I have quite a few group photos of large groups of people at picnics and social gatherings. Any help would be appreciated. 3. Hi Laurelle My great grandmother was a witness to Justine Louise Wilhelmine MOHR's baptism in the Bethania Church in 1869. Justine's parents were Carl MOHR and Justine Wilhelmine MOHR. Often the witnesses are relatives, so I was wondering if any of my ancestor's surnames appear in your records? My g grandmothers name was Ernestine Caroline SCHUBERT (born MARGRAF) and my great grandfather was Ferdinand Julius SCHUBERT. 3. Hi Laurelle, Don't know if you know that there is a double Mohr grave at the Mt Cotton historical cemetery. Could be yours? The Mt Cotton cemetery is on that Cemetery website.
