Your August may be the eighth child from Carl 1's second marriage, allowing for the slightly different spelling of his mother's name, but the dates could be right. Let me know what you think. Margaret I think it could be possible. I have noticed the difference in spelling from one record to another. My August was born in Traupe which could be Trampe so the same area. Have you got Carl 1 and Caroline (Wife 2) death certificate? If not I might send for them as that may give us some more information. What do you think?
