Hello, Thank you all for your input. From the general feedback everyone gave it seems that my family were an exception. As Beverley mentioned, they may have "served" in a different manner, than actual military service. And Albert...I loved your story! Shows there must have been some tension about "shooting cousins" within the population! I think I'll have to go and chat with my elder relatives again, next time I'm home, and see if any light can be shed. Thanks again. Werona
