Dear All, Just to clear up a point, it is Anne Troy, not Noel who is the one with the German ancestors. I'm new to this, so am not sure what appears as the tag for the emails I send. To Noel Bergman, my mother Marjorie, nee Koy who is 80 remembers Podlichs on a farm near the farm her family ran in Manyung. Manyung is between Murgon and Goomeri. With regard to the above book. It is called Fruit in the Scrub: a history of the Manyung school and district. It was put together by the Manyung Reunion Book Committee in either 2000 or 2001 and printed by Robco Printing Service, 56 Gore Street, Murgon, Qld, 4605, phone 4168 1500. It is a history of the district through the eyes of the people who lived there. It contains lots of photos and rememberances. Names covered include: Zerner, Greensill, Muller, Giglers, Harm, Ballard, Holznagel, Dowdle, Vonhoff, Richard, Cooper, Silburn, Christensen, Reif and more. Just to clarify my details: my mother is Marjorie Koy. Her parents were Friedrich Koy and Martha Labuschewski. His parents were Franz Koy and Auguste Rienicker (have found different spellings for this name). Franz came from Lauenburg, Pommern, Germany, (now Lebork in Poland) and Auguste came from Ossecken, Pommern, Germany. Martha's parents were Ferdinand Labuschewski and Eva Schroedter. Ferdinand came from Gros-Roda Stuhm, Germany and Eva came from Gros-Lebenau, Germany. They lived in Frenches Creek, Manyung, Boonah and Murgon. Bye for now, Anne Troy
