    3. Hallo Anne, how are you? Saw your recent posting on the names Koy, Labuschewski, Schroedter,Lewald you are interested in. What a small world it really is. I am also related to these names that you are researching. My grandmother was a Podlich and her mother was a Schroedter, and Eva Schreodter who married Ferdinand Labuschewski and Christine Schroedter (my Great grandmother) were sisters. In fact it is a pity we didn't know of you last year as we organised and conducted a huge Podlich Family reunion in May 2001 as part of a committee and we wrote a 350 page Family History book of the Podlichs. There was a chapter in this book we wrote devoted to the Schroedter family back in West Prussia. We are very interested in sharing information with you as we are certainly related. Where is Manyung? we are interested in information about the publication you mentioned. Looking forward to hearing from you soon Regards Noel Bergman Date forwarded: Sat, 13 Apr 2002 19:47:19 -0600 From: "Noel Troy" <annstroy@iprimus.com.au> Subject: AUS-QLD-SE-Germans+2000+7081269234+F Date sent: Sun, 14 Apr 2002 11:49:04 +1000 To: AUS-QLD-SE-Germans-L@rootsweb.com Forwarded by: AUS-QLD-SE-Germans-L@rootsweb.com Dear All, I'm new to this, so bear with me. The names I am researching are Koy, Labuschewski, Schroedter, Wargowski & Rieneker/Reinecker, spelling differs. They all lived around Boonah, Murgon, Frenches Creek. I was interested to see Noel Bergman's email as my great-grandparents are Eva Schroedter & Ferdinand Labuschewski. Also, Eva & Ferdinand's daughter, Augusta, married an August Lewald. There is a history of Manyung school put out last year which has lots of information & photos of people in the district & I think that the Podlichs' are in it. If interested, let me know & I will find details. My Great Grandparents Johann Podlich jnr and his wife Christine nee Schroedter and their first child Wilhelm together with Johann's sister Marie and her husband Adolph Lewald and their first child Anna arrived in Australia in 1877 on the ship "Charles Dickens". They then settled at Hoya near Boonah. We were able to purchase a copy of a photo of the ship "Charles Dickens" from the Queensland State Library, but we have also heard from a reliable source that there was in existance a postcard depicting the "Charles Dickens" put out when the company R M Sloman purchased and refitted the ship as a sailing ship. It was originally a steam ship known as the Danube. I would be very interested if anyone had any information on the postcard or other photos or sketches etc. Another aspect of interest for me is that my Great Grandfather Johann Podlich snr and his second wife Rosalia Jeziorkowski nee Zubowitz and her three adult children, Magdalena, Auguste and Joseph, as well as three more of Johann snr's children, Wilhelm Podlich, Auguste Podlich who later married Carl Menge, Louise Podlich who later married Carl Kaden all followed on the ship "Windsor Castle" in 1881. Christine Schroedter's sister Eva and her husband Ferdinand Labuschewski and their daughter Elizabeth followed on the ship "Quetta" in 1883. Johann snr's other daughter Wilhelmine Sawatzki nee Podlich and her husband Carl and six children also followed in 1888 on the ship "Bulimba". All of these families also settled in the Fassifern area, but are now spread far and wide. We would love to hear from anyone with any connections to any of these families or from anyone with any information on any of the ships mentioned in particular the missing postcard of the "Charles Dickens" Hope to hear from you soon Regards Noel Bergman Brisbane Australia RESEARCHING: Bergmann,Stumer,Wellbrock,Schroedter,Schroeder,Voje,Koehler,Paul,VichelGottschalk,Zabe l, Podlich,Stepke,Erdmann,Dreher,Rogmann,Warncke,Becker,Walpole,Murchison,Nicholson,McGillivray,Robert son, O'Neill,Ryan,Kenny,Hoey,Fulloon,Wittkopp,Drafts,Stewart,McSwain,Raper,de Walpol,Eckersley,Wallace, Baker,Burke,O'Mahoney,Keays,Sadlier,Bridgeman,Fitzpatrick,Harrison,O'Brien,Heeney,Berry,Bateman,Ahe arn, Lewis,Norton,Bawn,Mills,Reddie,Sheridan,Quinn,McKenzie,Tracey,Plant,Johnstone,McIntosh,Toshack,Hepb urn, Wheatley,Stammers,Lynch,Bell,Pellow,Wasserzieher,Teschner,Neuber, ______________________________ ------------------------------ ============================== To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 RESEARCHING: Bergmann,Stumer,Wellbrock,Schroedter,Schroeder,Voje,Koehler,Paul,VichelGottschalk,Zabel, Podlich,Stepke,Erdmann,Dreher,Rogmann,Warncke,Becker,Walpole,Murchison,Nicholson,McGillivray,Robertson, O'Neill,Ryan,Kenny,Hoey,Fulloon,Wittkopp,Drafts,Stewart,McSwain,Raper,de Walpol,Eckersley,Wallace, Baker,Burke,O'Mahoney,Keays,Sadlier,Bridgeman,Fitzpatrick,Harrison,O'Brien,Heeney,Berry,Bateman,Ahearn, Lewis,Norton,Bawn,Mills,Reddie,Sheridan,Quinn,McKenzie,Tracey,Plant,Johnstone,McIntosh,Toshack,Hepburn, Wheatley,Stammers,Lynch,Bell,Pellow,Wasserzieher,Teschner,Neuber,
