G'day Patricia, It's quite easy, look him up on the Nominal Roll of the A.I.F. who served overseas. This is in microfiche form, and now in most family history libraries. On the internet - go to http://www.awm.gov.au/database/ then click onto First World War Nominal Roll. This will ak you to enter a surname, do that, a list of various fiche will come up, generally in alphabetical order by christian names. Select the appropriate one by clicking on the red number, and scroll down the page. If he is not there, check pages before and after, as sometimes they are not in strict alphabetical order. You can then order a copy of his service records. Best Wishes Phillip MURPHY
