Dear Listers, A quick note I have updated our Mackay Historical Society and Museum Inc.Research Links pages to include research done on the Hotels past and present in the Mackay region from 1863 to the present. I have included a list of Sources used to gather the information as well as an alphabetical listing of Hotels past and present from the Mackay local government area. This listing includes the licencees and/or hotel-keepers and the dates they managed the hotels. This is only an interim listing and when research is further done the pages will be updated and corrected if need be. As you may well note it takes many hours to compile and collate the research.
