I have just started researching Bleisener (Bleisner) ancestors (August and Louisa) who migrated to SE Queensland in 1872 and settled in the Rosewood Scrub area. Would love to hear from anyone who has information about this family. Cheryl
Alan & Cheryl, I have been waiting a long time for someone to be researching this family. If you wish to contact me off line I have the family of Carl August Bliesner going back three generations. He was born in Gross Teschendorf, Wesat Prussia on July 27, 1843. He married Louise Ostoike (spelling varies) in the Catholic Church in Schonwiese, West Prussia on the 11 November, 1871. The reason I am interested is that Carl August's mother ( I am certain) was the sister of my g-g-grandmother who was Anna Brause. My grandfather (9) and his sister (18) were sent out to Queensland, and again very sure they stayed with the Bliesners. My side of the family called her Aunty Bliesner. I have eight of their children born here in Australia with their birth dates but have not gone any further here in Australia. Would like to hear from you. Regards, John Josefski.
