Hi Folks Excuse this cross-posting but have some old photos that may be of interest? No. 1 ~ Wynnum Church of Christ - late 1925 ? Identified - bottom right: lady in dark hat with a young child standing in front of her is Catherine (Kate) Duke (nee Martin) b 1893; the child is Mavis Duke believed to be 16 months of age b 1924; on their right in white sandshoes & tie is Percival (Percy) Duke b 1917. Behind Percy is Annie Mary Martin (nee Beitz) b1868 Cooyar, Burnett. At Kate's left shoulder in felt hat and waistcoat is Thomas Martin b 1865 Scotland. On the top plate of the wall, in the middle, third from left or right, is Thomas Martin jnr b 1900. Kate & Thomas jnr are children of Thomas & Annie. This information was passed over about 1997-1998 and one or two of the old houses appearing in the right side of the photo were still there and the one on the left side behind the paling fence still existed but had been modified. No. 2 ~ UNKNOWN - probably a Church of Christ "working bee" ? I have some higher quality scans but you would need broadband for me to send to you, if you are interested.
