Having searched NSW deaths for Ludwig MEYER b 1858 Forcett Sorell Tasmania without success, I have found a Ludwig buried in Lutwyche Cemetery. If this is the son of Henry (Charles Henry Ludwig) MEYER/MYERS, my estimation of age if he died 1957 would have been closer to 98 yrs of age not 88. The last known abode in NSW was Little Plain nr Inverell where he inherited portion of his father's property in 1900. Ludwig was not given any mention in the estate of his brother Frederick MYERS (bachelor) d 1940 Little Plain NSW. Ludwig MEYER/MYERS mother Johanna Henrietta Wilhelmina MEYER (HAHN) d 1865 Rosewood Station bur Laidley. Is there anyone on the list who can verify any details of this Ludwig or would have him in their family line. If the parents are not listed in the index (which can happen if the informant didn't know), I would suggest looking for a funeral notice in the Brisbane Courier-Mail in the hope of finding some information about the man. NB If it is your man, it's still worth looking for the funeral notice as it may tell you about his wife, children, etc. Kerry

There are Meyer's in QLD with Ludwig in the christian name. This person is very likely the Ludwig William MEYER buried at Lutwyche aged 88 years 16 Aug 1957.
