Dear Listers, I am happy to take orders now from anyone interested in purchasing our family history book titled "THE NOTHDURFT FAMILY - A NEW BEGINNING". The book is centred on August NOTHDURFT; his ancestors in Germany and descendants in Australia. August was born is Busenwurth, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany in 1845 and immigrated to Queensland, Australia on the "Arthurstone" arriving the first day of spring, 1881. He settled with his family at Meringandan with his 15 children. The books consists of 2 volumes, over 900 pages, over 700 photographs, over 140 certificates and documents - those German are expertly translated, over 2230 descendants in Australia, 6 generations born in Germany going back to the 1600s, family stories, education, occupations, causes of death plus lots more including our USA Nothdurft cousins. A Nothdurft Family Reunion and Book Launch is arranged for Sunday 11th May at the Jondaryan Woolshed, Jondaryan commencing at 10am.
