Hi there This is the first time I've approached the rootsweb mailing list and only have a few sketchy details. Hoping someone can help me! I am researching my grandfather's father's side. My grandfather was Ernest Henry SEEFELD, born 12/8/1911. His Father was August SEEFELD - married to Catherine Elizabeth KESSLER in 1902. The KESSLERS came out from Germany in 1889 on the HMS Quetta, but I can't find any information as to where the SEEFELDs came from in Germany. I believe August's parents were Bertha & Gottlieb SEFELD. I had been told by my Mum that they came from Prussia. They settled in the Darling Downs, mainly around Clifton/Back Plains area, Queensland.
