Hallo List, We are trying to find out what happened to Carl Luneburg after he arrived in Moreton Bay in 1865 on board the "Susanne Godeffroy". He had given his age as 20 years in Hamburg on departure and was passenger number 501when he boarded. His last place of residence was given as Elmshorn Holstein. He was a Müller (miller). Also from the same town were Jacob Luneburg aged 22, Anna his wife aged 23, and their young son Johann aged 2 . They were passengers 518-520. We have been able to track Jacob Luneburg and his family up to 1913 here in Brisbane, but then the remainder of the family simply disappears. Our big problem though is Carl Luneburg. Despite doing numerous and very detailed searches of available records here, as well as in all the other Australian states, we have been unable to locate a single piece of information on Carl Luneburg. it is quite a mystery. Perhaps someone out there has some info on his whereabouts here in Queensland. We would appreciate hearing from the list on this question.
