Hi Di, Thanks heaps for your information....I'm a bit unclear about your dates of 1853 to 1854. .I believe that the Cesar Godeffroy was the first of the Godeffroy ships....and it left Hamburg in late 1855 and arrived in Australia in February 1856. It is odd, that it sailed around Tasmania and up the coast to Moreton Bay, before going to Sydney...or have I got that wrong??? The only problem for me, is that there is no record of my Friedrich Habermann disembarking, even though he was on the passenger list. He did get off somewhere, but it wasn't in Brisbane and it wasn't in Sydney. Still any help and advice always appreciated.
