I would agree about the Ancestry indexes. Not all are correct. They seem to have extra names added, but no less are a help as they are Australia wide and I have found some missing persons that i had been looking for for quite a while...particularly in Victoria and Tasmania. Most Surnames must have been listed somewhere on certificates as most deaths show surnames that have a bearing to the deceased.
