    3. John, Thank you, I am grateful for your response. I was hoping one of the families had more information about where Dammerow/Damerow was, and you did. I am satisfied now! By the way, the other Damerow I mentioned which is north west of Prenzlau is at co-ordinates 53.4, 13.65 and appears to be in Brandenburg. There is yet another one north-northeast of Prenzlau at 53.44, 13.97 which is in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. I'm afraid I don't know how to access the relevant parish records. Dammerow north west of Prenzlau is also in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The Telefonbuch lists a Volker in Zerrenthin which is about 10km northeast of Dammerow. John Heinemann
