    3. >From Glenva Biles - genie.girl@tpg.com.au Re SEQ-GERMANS (Another Book) Dear Kaye, for quite some time now I have been researching my Great grandmother Amalia (Emma) Weimer dob 29/9/1855 in Gayndah, Qld and daughter of Eutropius Weimer and Sabina Glock emigrants from Germany. I am most interested if anyone may also be researching this family. I might add I am also researching Thomas Patteson my grandfather dob 22/6/1865 at Iderway, Gayndah and who married Emma's daughter, Anna Catherine on her 18th birthday. Thomas Patteson's father and mother migrated from Northern Ireland on the David McIvor arriving at Hervey Bay on 9/7/1863. I am most interested in your latest published book should the Weimer family be mentioned in same etc! Regards, Glenva Biles

    3. Dear Glenva, IN our David McIver book published in 1993 there is listed in the Passenger List PATERSEN, William 31 and PATERSEN Margaret, 24. Perhaps these are the parents of your Thomas Pattesen. Copies of this book can still Can be obtained at the Maryborough Family Heritage Institute PO Box 913 Maryborough. Price $30 posted. My latest book is a reprint of THE POCKET: Its History, Folklore and People. This has been re-edited and gives lots of information on the early pioneers and settlers who purchased land or lived in the Pocket area of Maryborough from the 1850's. Plenty of biographies of people and many German families but no Weimers. Copies of this book can also be obtained at the MFHI and we will be holding a re-launch of the book in March this year. However, I do have some Weimers listed in a Reinke family tree that comes into my family through my Stumer family. However, these are only names of children born in the 1990's.
