    3. Hi Lorrae, If your Kaddatz family were at Blythedale Station in the late 1870's then you may be interested in this article from the "Brisbane Courier" newspaper. It gives a brief description of the property when it was offered for auction in 1881. I searched for references to the property a while ago because my Campbell great great grandparents were part of a family company which worked Blythedale in the early 1880's. BLYTHEDALE STATION, MARANOA DISTRICT, QUEENSLAND. ETTERSHANK, EAGLESTONE, & MANN, In conjunction with Messrs. WM. SLOANE & CO., have received instructions from Messrs T. W. Brown it Co, to offer for sale by auction, at Menzies' Hotel, Burke Street, West Melbourne, on MONDAY", the 19th December, at Three o'clock, BLYTHEDALE STATION, Situated in the Maranoa District, Queensland, near the Township of Roma, containing an Area of about 130 Square Miles of first-class forest country of a very fattening description, suitable for either Cattle or Sheep, the latter having lately been bred there successfully. The improvements include good homestead, wool shed, store, stables, &c, also horse, wool shed, and other paddocks. The stock consists of about 20,000 Sheep, of mixed ages and sexes, of which 7000 are ewes now lambing 800 Head of well bred Cattle 120 Well bred Horses, including entire horse Robin. The Auctioneers have much pleasure in directing attention to this property, which ís rendered very valuable by its close proximity to Roma Railway Station, thus giving easy carriage for either stores or wool, and also offering unusual facilities for trucking fat stock to market.
