    3. To researchers accessing LDS digital images of Uckermark parish Registers. The following information is of special interest as many emigrants settled in Queensland from Brandenburg from the mid 1800s. Many of us were delighted to be able to read and print excellent images of BDMs relating to our ancestors in many parish registers during 2010. Unfortunately this free service has been removed temporarily, we hope not for too long. PLEASE READ THE E-MAIL BELOW I RECEIVED FROM THE LDS. Regards, Elizabeth -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Unable to access Brandenburg digital images online Date: Sun, 2 Jan 2011 22:20:06 +0000 (GMT+00:00) From: Support@FamilySearch.org To: aliens@bigpond.net.au Dear Elisabeth, Thank you for contacting FamilySearch concerning the Germany, Brandenburg, Church Book Duplicates 1794-1874. This collection was published briefly on the Record Search (pilot) site. They were subsequently removed to honor the wishes of the record custodian, Brandenburgisches Landeshauptarchiv in Potsdam, Brandenburg, Germany, that a watermark be added to all images. FamilySearch is currently working on developing a "rich attribution" feature which will allow the images to again be published online. We hope this has answered your question. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any further problems or questions on this matter by using the reply to sender feature in your email program. We wish you much success and satisfaction in researching your ancestors. Sincerely, FamilySearch support@familysearch.org ---------------------- (CaseID:1929293) ----------------------
