Beverley Brisbane WILL get more water .. peaking tomorrow afternoon .. I've been watching the water rising on the steps of Riverside Centre on Eagle Street, where I used to sit and eat my lunch when I worked there... My daughter lives in a high-rise in Brisbane CBD .. they've been told not to go into work today .. we're hoping her power won't be cut off ... I am watching this closely myself .. Tv is on now and we can see debris and even a caravan moving down the Brisbane river :( Terrible what is happening .. we were in the 1974 floods in Brisbane and the Gold Coast and lost all our records/documents/photos ... it is terrible and I agree with you .. I hope the Libraries all over Brisbane AND Ipswich are holding their records safely. Flooding in five states today :( regards Maree Larsen (rainy Hobart)

I am glad to hear that Lorrae is safe. My hope is that all the listers stay safe and that their records are backed up somewhere. I watch the video's and listen to the news and even though I no longer live in the area, I am very concerned for the safety of the people. Stay strong my friends.
