    3. Mark A child registered as 'unnamed' is NOT always a stillborn baby .... I know of an example where the majority of children born to a particular family ie. the oldest ones are registered as 'Unnamed', 'Male' or 'Female'. These children all survived infancy and, in most cases, reached adulthood and produced offspring themselves! (Having said that, I'm not certain why they were registered in this manner ...) If there's a Ref No. - ie. via the Indexes - the event was registered and, therefore, you will be able to get a certificate.
