Thank you for your interest, Peter. Unfortunately, my surname, HATFIELD, is English - from Southern Yorkshire, although the word Hatfield is of Germanic origin and was probably HATZFELD - i.e hunt field - in the Anglo-Saxon language. However, I am interested in the Neumark as my mother's grandfather - Heinrich WENDSCHLAG - was born there - his mother came from Ceylon in the Warthebruch. He does not appear on your list of immigrants from E.Brandenburg because he did not emigrate from there. My other names of interest from that area are REIDINGER and MENSCHLAG. BTW did you use a computer to translate your message into English?
