Does anyone have a copy of the Brisbane History Group's publication "Brisbane - Aboriginal, Alien, Ethnic" No. 5? (Have tried to purchase a copy from BHG, but it's out of print.) I would very much like a look-up, please, if possible ... There are two papers of interest in this publication: "The alien presence in early Brisbane 1840-60: A preliminary survey" (Rod Fisher) and "German immigration to Queensland 1838-1981: A survey" (John A Moses) Rgs Lisa Gladstone, Q.
Hi Patricia, I found you email in the archives. I too am following the Riethmuller and Deuble families. I have all of the names you listed below in my database although I am a direct descendant of only the Riethmuller name. My line includes the Humphrey, Oestreich and West names. I must have Sundayitis/ Elisabeth BLUM was aged 34 years. Also were Jacob BLUM aged 35 who could have been a brother to Elisabeth. Then there was Verena BLUM aged 37; Johanne BLUM aged 2 years; Robert BLUM no age given; Susanne BLUM aged 9 years. The entire family was from Beggingen, Denmark and were on the Reichstag in 1873. Hi List Does anyone have this name in the Esk district in 1899? He was the witness to the burial of Mary WORLEY on 8 Sep 1899 at the Esk cemetery and I cannot find him / her in the BDM, at all - not a birth; parents, death or anything, so is the name spelt wrong? It is on the Death certificate that was issued 09Feb1989, so could be a transcription error but I was interested as it was the PETERS surname again.
