    2. BERNICE CALLAGHAN
    3. Hi there tis Bernice here.Am seeking info on one Eduard Hessler arrived "San Francisco,1863,Morton Bay, from Berlin .He was classed as a "Tishler, cabinet maker, joiner or carpenter. What I am hoping to find out is where he ended up once he arrived..and stepped of the ship. With other members of f/t that were immigrants,it was listed where they went once they arived in Aus.,but where does one go to find out his destiny?? I do know that he ended up in Sydney in the 1900's.And had an affair with one Sarah Woolfrey in Bourke (shock horrer.L.O.L).Hope someone can steer me in the right direction.Have a nice day.

    1. My new Email Address
    2. Listers, I have received two emails this week which tell me that I have the KLEZ virus on my computer. The only problem is that for the past 8 weeks I have not used the pussims@cableone.net address and this is the address that appears to have sent the spurious emails. My understanding of how this virus works is not clear enough to begin to explain it to you but suffice to say, my email address for the past 8 weeks has been toetweaker@aol.com. Therefore, if any of you receive an email from pussims@cableone.net delete it immediately as it will not be from me but rather generated by the KLEZ virus on someone's computer. begging your indulgence on this matter, Beverly.

    3. Hi all Received an email today that looked like a digest from this list. Thankfully, my anti virus took care of it but from all appearances, it looked just like a digest version. However, when I opened it, there was typing on the email, requesting we look at the attachment (very bad english!) Beware, if I got one, then there are others out there, take care. 3. Hi Sue I hope you are still at that address!! A copy is going to SEQ Germans just in case! Have been going through old mail and came across several of yours, and one dated 2 April 2000 is very interesting! No laughing permitted here! Yes I am a hoarder! At that time I didn't have this stuff but there were a few bells ringing when I read this oldie, regarding your Stegemann and Zischke connections. Two of us have been working on the KERLIN name since October 2000 and I have here mention of the second marriage of your G/G/Aunt Auguste Zischke to Hermann Kerlin and most of the families from them. The file is in EXCEL and just that section is quite large. I can copy & paste it and probably delete the columns that my partner in crime (who is ill now) was doing, and I would be pleased to send it if you would like. In that email, you said spring had arrived - oh well, nothing like summer 2 years later! Kind regards Bev (Kerlin)

    2. Bev Kerlin
    3. Good morning All I have a dear friend who started the BADGE One-Name Society No 3419. During those cleanup operations (of which we shall not speak here), I came across the entry in an Admission Register of Mount Gravatt State School 1878 for a young Henry BADGE aged 10 years, Father - Labourer. He enrolled at the same time as three of our GIESEMANNs. The Bethania book does not appear to have the name and it doesn't have the GIESEMANNs either (though the web site does - thank you Russell). Can anyone help Mr Walter BADGE, and me, in finding anything about the Mt Gravatt settlements please? Repeating Henry's Father was a Labourer and August Giesemann was a Storekeeper. There are so many family books around, maybe some folk settled around Waterford and Logan Road and have books which mention these two families. We would be grateful for any help. Many thanks Bev
