    2. Ian & Margaret Kelly
    3. Hi I would like to hear from anyone researching Mary O'Shea who was born 1863 in Carhirciveen, County Kerry, Ireland. Her parents were John O'Shea and Kate Murphy. Mary may have also had a brother John. I do not know when the family came to Australia. Mary worked on "Eastmere Station" at Mitchell (Qld) for some time. She married William Henry (Harry) Clein at Emerald in 1889 and they owned "Tomahawk Station" at Clermont. Mary died in 1948. Ian Kelly Sandstone Point Qld

    1. Old Letters
    2. Lindsay Love
    3. Dear List , Sorry to but in but I promised Bev a while back that I had some letters written in the late 1800`s from Germany to Australia . Am I correct that someone new has taken over the list ,if so could they contact me so I can forward these letters by mail so they can be posted on the list . It is very interesting reading I think there are about 12 letters in all , they relate to the Banditt & Pflugradth families of the Boonah area but I am sure that everyone will like to see them , to gain some insight in life in that era . So if the person looking after the list can contact me I will forward them on so they can be posted . I had to send the letters to New Zealand to be translated as they were written in an old style and the grammer was not the best . Take care ........Lindsay LOBUCH@bigpond.com -----Original Message----- From: AUS-QLD-SE-Germans-D-request@rootsweb.com <AUS-QLD-SE-Germans-D-request@rootsweb.com> To: AUS-QLD-SE-Germans-D@rootsweb.com <AUS-QLD-SE-Germans-D@rootsweb.com> Date: Wednesday, 21 August 2002 10:01 Subject: AUS-QLD-SE-Germans-D Digest V02 #147

    3. Morning Listers, We sometimes wonder where our ancestors were buried, here is a gem, found while looking for something else. Information supplied by the Crow's Nest and District Historical Society. Carl Heinrich TEWES lost his life in a tree-felling accident at Djuan, 8 Nov 1888, he was buried at the scene of the accident, in a gully at Djuan. Now we know why some of our folk are not in the local cemetry. Cheers Bev
