    3. Hi All Some beautiful people out there are trying to help with the "Story of the Erin-go-Bragh Voyage of 1862 - Cobh to Moreton Bay". That's not its name, it doesn't have one, but you will know what I'm on about ;-) This is about 'names' though, because these folk are asking for names. I can't take the *cyber space* to tell the whole nearly five hundred of them, but will pass on a few family names. The single men and women, and the children of those families, who really did so much in this country will have to stay 'nameless' for now. 2. Hamilton
    3. Hi everyone The name ROSENOW has just come into my research today and I am hoping someone else may have an interest in it and thus be able to answer a question for me. I was doing research on the name HUMPHREY/HUMPHRIES today and found a marriage for an Alfred Moren HUMPHRIES to Annie Augusta ROSENOW ( 30 Jun 1890) and then the birth of a son to them - Alfred Charles Moren HUMPHREYS (9 Apr 1891) - and then a daughter, Maud, in 1893. My problem is that I already have an Alfred Moren HUMPHREYS in my tree married to Mary Ann PURCELL (9 Nov 1899) and having children with her (from 1890 to 1898). Admittedly, I already have one bigamist in the family but he had his families two world apart (Denmark and Qld). I really don't believe that this man could have two wives and families in Qld at the same time. Therefore, I am hoping to find someone on the list with an interest in Annie Augusta ROSENOW who can help explain the mystery! (The other alternative which I will just have to follow is to send for both marriage certificates before my curiosity makes me explode!) Help!!! Elaine

    1. [Qld -SE-German] The Irish and The Germans
    2. Bev Kerlin
    3. Hi Aussie Lists - This is a copy of mail I am sending to Ireland this morning. I feel no problem with sending this to our German List because many of the passengers married into German families, both around the Logan and Albert Rivers and the Lockyer. TIA Bev Hello All Do we have any Listers whose interests lay in Co Offaly please? (Seeing as I'm ccing this to Offaly List, that sounds like a pretty stupid question - I know!) I'm looking for maps of Townlands and Name Usage please. Baronies would be great as an added bonus. Yes - this is to do with my "Erin-go-Bragh" project, which is moving along steadily even though slowly due to other involvements. NB: For those of you who think I may go against Privacy regulations, I wish to advise that my plan is to record the FIRST MARRIAGES in Australia, and their FIRST DESCENDANTS and other children born to the immigrants from that ship = *Irish Australians*. I will go back as far as your assistance will allow me. My own resources are the Queensland Births Deaths and Marriages which only covers to 1889, so that is well within the boundaries, AND THE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE WHO HAVE OFFERED THEIR OWN FAMILY RESEARCH, for which I am most grateful, but again I will keep to the Privacy Act provisions. I am NOT seeking monetary gain from this. Many thanks to all Bev

    3. Thanks John and Debbie and Hi again Kerry :-) I realise now that I didn't express my request very clearly . Sorry to all of you helpful folk. What I meant to ask for was a lookup for any possible marriages of an Anna Mary MÜLLER" born 1880. I want to try and verify if she did in fact marry Albert BARKE or another man. I haven't found any proof that this was her husband and am wondering if the info I have is correct. It was not given to me by a family member, but a helpful fellow researcher nine years ago. So if I someone could have another look in the indexes, that would be a start. Much appreciated Jane ----- Original Message ----- > Dear Listers > > Would anyone with access to the Queensland indexes be able to look for a > marriage for me please? > > Anna Mary MÜLLER Born: 9 December 1880 in Rosewood Scrub, Queensland. > Parents: Carl Friedrich Wilhelm MÜLLER and Auguste SPRENGER. > > I have her marrying Albert BARKE on 24 August 1896 in Queensland but I > haven't verified this information. >snip>>>>>>>>>>>>

Re la Rochelle. I had no difficulty after I made sure I had the right names.I found out my details on the Queensland births and deaths. I have the certificates in front of me and they are headed by.MARINE REGISTER OF DEATHS and have all the relevant information and on the bottom of the certificate it has "hereby certify that this is a true copy of an entry in a register kept in the Queensland State Archives Issued at Brisbane 22 Oct 1999. I live out of Melbourne so I cannot readily go and look for you name in the records. Maybe some body has the Queensland deaths and Births CD rom at home and could look up your names.
