Hi, Just joined the list from Scotland, and looking for help re how/where to obtain details of the death of Helen Darcy (married name Ives) who died 1968 Brisbane. Hoping this turns out to be an Aunt of mine, who no-one in the rest of the family has heard of. My father's family was orphaned of both parents at very early ages, and dispersed to various foster homes.I have a birth Cert. for a Helen, and she appears on the 1901 census living with the rest of the family, ---after that, all record searches in Scotland have been negative. Found a Helen Darcy/Ives details on "first Families 2001" site , and would like to get death details, Advice how to do this from Scotland please? Many thanks nancy
If it's helpful, this is the marriage index. Darcy ,Helen ,M ,Ives ,Oswald Arnold ,1913-12-03 ,1913/B014151 Possibly not related, but there is also an illegitimate birth to a Helen Darcy the previous year. Darcy ,William ,B ,Helen Darcy ,1912-04-07 ,1912/B028333 Also in the possibly related category, there is an Oswald Garnett Ives in the WW2 records born in Brisbane on 31 Dec 1914 (which means the registration is in 1915 and hence not in the Federation CD), but suggests a child named after his father? Name IVES, OSWALD GARNETT Service Royal Australian Air Force Service Number 22199 Date of Birth 31 Dec 1914 Place of Birth BRISBANE, QLD Date of Enlistment 15 Apr 1940 Locality on Enlistment CAMP HILL Place of Enlistment BRISBANE, QLD Next of Kin IVES, SYLVIA Date of Discharge 7 Dec 1945 Rank Corporal Posting at Discharge 3 Personnel Depot WW2 Honours and Gallantry None for display Prisoner of War No
