Dear Listers, Flushed with success and very grateful for information received from the North Queensland List about Mahala and Ernest EARL, we were reminded by Rosie's mum Stella EARL, now in her 94th year, that she was a babe in arms when her Aunt Nellie (née MATTHEWS), born 11th November 1886, and husband William BREWER emigrated to Australia from Oxford, UK, in 1910. We don't know which ship they sailed on. Nellie and Bill had two sons, Albert, a baby when leaving England, and Cecil, born Australia. One of the sons died young in an accident. Stella's family wrote to the BREWERs at Toowong, Brisbane, Queensland for many years, but has heard nothing from them since the Second World War.
