Last week, my father, Neville Raymond Francis Buttfield died aged 72 years. He was cremated yesterday at Mt Gravatt, Brisbane. My father was born 29/12/1931 in Brisbane and adopted 6 weeks later by Frank Jack Buttfield and Phyllis (nee Tomlinson). 2 years ago we found out that my fathers natural mother was Vera Coronation Davis who later married Joseph Pritchard. My father never found out who his natural father was. It is with regret that my efforts to find out more about his natural parents came to nothing. My father spent his life wondering who he really was and where he really belonged and I was unable to help him. His adopted parents loved him and he was their only child so my father had no family. If anyone who is tracing their trees come across the names I have mentioned, I would be grateful, if only to ease mine own need for closure. with thanks, Ann
