Carol, My grandmother was "incarcerated" in the Goodna Asylum for a number of years due to "Dementia"and died there in 1910. Under Freedom of Information we were able to get her medical history and details of her time there from the hospital. Although the information was fairly sparse they were very cooperative and helpful. Am trying to find my correspondence with the hospital as it is now under another name without success at the moment. Have it - It is now the Wolston Park Hospital, Wolston Park Rd. Wacol 4076. Suggest you write or phone them and get on to the FOI person there.
