Sharon, Check out the Queensland Births Deaths and Marriages You have to print out a form and either post it or fax it through with your payment and Identification details. If you do not know the Date of death or the details you will need them in order to fill in the certificate. In which case you need to contact the registry office and they will do a search accordingly or someone on this list may have the more updated indexes though im not sure how late they go.... Below is the link to the births deaths and marriages for Queensland ONLY!! if it is for another state please advise the list accordingly as the information varies state to state. http://www.justice.qld.gov.au/16.htm you need to go down to forms and download the application form for the Historical Death Certificate which is for deaths more than 50 years ago in which case you do not need to be a relative to apply....
