Thanks very much to Kerry and Jan for the information on William Joseph LESLIE, carpenter from Sandgate. I had it wrong, Phoebe Frances was the second wife. Thanks for putting me right. This Annie Elizabeth LESLIE is a bit of a mystery. The children of William & Matilda LESLIE were:- 1) Annie Matilda LESLIE born 1892, married John Henry KENT 1914 2) Ellen Eileen LESLIE born 1895 - not sure what happened to her 3) Winifred Grace LESLIE born 1897, died 1943 (appears to have had a daughter Winifred Grace LESLIE born 1918) 4) Elsie Jean LESLIE born 1900 - don't know what happened to her 5) Hamilton W.M. LESLIE born 1905, died 1906 So I don't think Annie Elizabeth is a daughter. An Annie Elizabeth LESLIE turns up on the electoral roll also in New South Wales - 1930 - Hamilton, Newcastle, NSW Annie Elizabeth LESLIE, 1 Beresford Street, Wickham, home duties James Robert LESLIE, 1 Beresford Street, Wickham, medical practicioner 1936 - Newcastle, Newcastle, NSW Annie Elizabeth LESLIE, 91 Union Street, Newcastle, home duties Any enlightenment would be appreciated.
