Hi Sue and Carol Thanks for your help once again - have read the instructions, and sent off the forms and hope for a speedy return. Is it hard to find baptism records in Brisbane? I know this is a question like how long is a piece of string. Joanne, well... its yeah how long is a piece of string... but depending on the time period and the church... you might be lucky... the major churches still have the majority of their originals... (some have been lost in the various floods in Brisbane) Do you have a specific church in mind?? It would pay to contact them directly certainly the major churches (cathedrals) have genealogical enquiries sections.. if you write to them you are more likely to get a response rather than calling. I know though St Stephen's (the catholic cathedral) have a microfiche of their early records which are available at the various family history societies... probably someone on the list will have it.. not sure about many of the others however... hope that this helps Sue.
