G'day Can anyone help with information regarding a jeweller, or a shop owner who sold jewellery, named Lela Floyd (spelling may not be quite correct) who was said to have a "lovely" shop in Adelaide St (assuming Brisbane) "opposite the Railway Booking Office." I believe the time frame would have been 1940's to 1960's. The lady was later said to have moved her business to the Gold Coast. Alternatively, can someone confirm that there WAS a Railway Booking Office near Adelaide St Brisbane at that time, to help confirm I have the right city at least. Many thanks.

Hi Kaye Yes there was a booking office in Adelaide Street. The Queensland Government Tourist Bureau was in the building on the corner of Adelaide and Edward Streets, just up from Anzac Square, possibly the SGIO building. I can't remember what was on the other side of the street though.
