    3. G'day Edna, Margaret & Kay Many thanks for your quick responses. At least it appears I have the right city. I have checked White Pages and Googled, done everything I could think of. Trouble is I am not sure if the lady Lela Floyd was a jeweller (ie she designed and manufactured herself) or whether she had a "gift" type shop which sold jewellery. From the description "lovely shop" I am inclined to think the latter. So the shop could have been named anything. I thought perhaps if someone had access to phone book listings from around that time, or even better electoral rolls, the name Lela Floyd may show up. If I knew I had the right spelling, and then could not find any reference as a jewellery designer, "shop owner" becomes the logical answer. I have a box with several pieces of nice costume jewellery bought at auction with a handwritten card which has the info about "Lela" and her shop. The jewellery looks 1940's may be 1950's to me - the writing is very old school and shaky - reminds me so much of my Mum's - perhaps someone who went to school in the 1930's? I would think the Gold Coast reference would be 1970's - 80's but that's just a guess. Thanks again to all. Regards Kaye
