    3. The only thing I can think of is this.....on the left side of Anzac Square is a building which used to house the old State Govt Insurance Office plus others like the Public Curator etc. On the street level which is Adelaide Street there were and are a few shops. One is/was a tourist office and maybe there was a jewellery shop there too. This building took up the whole block and at the other side in Ann Street, I don't think there were any shops up at that side, but that is opposite Central Station. G'day Can anyone help with information regarding a jeweller, or a shop owner who sold jewellery, named Lela Floyd (spelling may not be quite correct) who was said to have a "lovely" shop in Adelaide St (assuming Brisbane) "opposite the Railway Booking Office." I believe the time frame would have been 1940's to 1960's. The lady was later said to have moved her business to the Gold Coast. Alternatively, can someone confirm that there WAS a Railway Booking Office near Adelaide St Brisbane at that time, to help confirm I have the right city at least. Many thanks.
