I am seeking assistance in tracing my greatgrandfather Thomas Minter. He was born 1848 in Deptford, St Nicholas Kent and came to Australia sometime in the 1860 to 1870 era. Parents were Henry Minter and Susan Barker. He married Elizabeth Jane Phillips 11th June 1872 at South Brisbane. Two children were born in Queensland and eight in NSW, the last being in 1893. He was thrown out by my Ggrandmother as he kept on disappearing and turning up whenever he liked. I believe he went back to Queensland as he had a sister, and cousin from Kent living there in 1893. There is no death record in NSW or Queensland. He was a distiller on the canefields and resided around Cabulture when he married. Any help would be appreciated.
