NSW church records prior to 1 Mar 1856 when civil rego started are available on film in many libraries that you can look up for just cost of your time . If you cant access these films you could get a transcription for about $9 from any of the 3 agents who operate in NSW ONLY.............. > Can someone plese tell me why Morton Bay, County of > Stanley was part of > NSW. and what do the years 1850+51 represent. > On Queensland BDM the marriage year is 1854, Qld didnt exist then nor for the record did Victoria . The whole of the known eastern seaboard was entitled the Colony of New South Wales. This is why some early passenger arrival records to Port Phillip ( Melbourne) and Moreton Bay are in the on line indexes on NSW State Records web site . Also they have some really early records for what is now Tasmania No idea what there should be a 3 year date difference....... a typo ? Bye MargM Beautiful Wyong Shire NSW
