For reasons of privacy, I suspect the funeral director and crematorium won't hand out details of the next of kin. They might be willing to forward a letter from you to the next of kin though. The other possibility is to look for information around the death of his wife (as she appears to have pre-deceased Patrick). For example, her funeral notice might include Gwendalyn's married surname.
