    3. Hello Pam The Repatriation Department is now known as the Veterans Affairs Department and the benefits they provide are Pensions etc. They also look after the Widows of Servicemen. You may be able to get more info on the claim from the Department. Cheers Sue Coordinator of The Recordsmiths Syndicate of volunteer transcribers working for FreeBMD. He was born in England in 1885 and emigrated to Australia in 1912. Can anyone tell me whether this document means he would have been seeking help with raising funds to return to England or would it be for some other kind of benefit? 3. Hi Bobbie, The State Library of Queensland have an online form for research help at http://www.slq.qld.gov.au/services/ask The wonderful microfiche and microfilm readers at the Qld State Library can now copy the microfiche or films onto a computer and the information is then downloadable to a flash drive for free or can be photocopied for a minimal charge. The QSL British Convicts database was compiled from the British Home Office Records available on the Australian Joint Copying Project through inter library loan from the National Library in Canberra. Alternatively the microfiche or film should be available for viewing in Adelaide at the State Library or any large library or Family History Society. Carol

    3. Hi Brisbanites, My convict ancestor is listed in the convict (William Gambrell on the Parkfield ship) records in the State Library of Queensland. There doesnt seem to be a way online, through the STQ to order a copy from the Microfilm which it is on. Looking for a recommendation of someone whom can go and make a copy of his page. (and maybe the first page) I dont want a transcription. Microfilm Roll 91, Class and Piece Number HO11/12, Page Number 41 (23) Will obviously pay what is needed. 3. I may have located the happy couple in the 1913 electoral roll, albeit with what I assume is a transcription problem on the name: MOLLOY ,Herbert ,Ingham ,butcher ,M ,Ingham ,Herbert MOLLOY ,Jane Perceria ,Ingham ,home duties ,F ,Ingham ,Herbert And again in the 1922 electoral roll. MOLLOY ,Herbert ,Ingham ,horse breaker ,M ,Ingham ,Herbert MOLLOY ,Jane Perceria ,Ingham ,home duties ,F ,Ingham ,Herbert As Herbert Denis was a horse trainer in 1934, I am assuming this is the same man. However, still no joy on finding Jane in the 1934 electoral roll. 3. I suspect you are looking at the 1925 electoral roll, not the census (as none are available for Queensland). I checked the 1922 and 1934 electoral rolls and there is no sign of her. But, remember, with electoral rolls, you have to 21 years old to be listed, so she might not appear on earlier rolls because she is too young and she may not appear on later rolls if she has married and changed her name. With that thought in mind, below are the Jane Veronica's in the 1934 electoral roll: BEAN ,Mary Jane Veronica ,Edge Hill ,home duties ,F ,Cairns ,Kennedy EALES ,Jane Veronica ,Constance st., Mareeba ,home duties ,F ,Mareeba ,Kennedy MEAD ,Florence Jane Veronica ,Roche st., Dalby , ,F ,Dalby ,Maranoa SUTTON ,Jane Veronica ,Bourbon st. ,home duties ,F ,Bundaberg ,Capricornia Kerry -----Original Message----- From: aus-qld-brisbane-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:aus-qld-brisbane-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of elizabeth knight Sent: Sunday, 12 April 2009 1:57 AM To: aus-qld-brisbane@rootsweb.com Subject: [AUS-QLD-BRISBANE] Jane Veronica Molloy Hi List Happy Easter Could any help me please I have Jane Veronica Molloy in the 1925 census in Queensland Can anybody find her in any other census /her death or even comming back to England Thank you Liz Toowoomba Dead Persons Society www.audps.com ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to AUS-QLD-BRISBANE-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
