The information in that database is derived from the burial register, so it tells you nothing about whether or not there is a readable headstone. The MIs are the best indicator of the existence of a headstone. Note that the MIs list about 46,000 people, but the cemetery probably has about 3 times that number of people buried there. Unfortunately there are no Queensland newspapers for 1936 that are online, but they are on microfilm in state libraries. He also had two daughters living in the Brisbane area. In 1913 and 1922, there is an Alice Elizabeth Minter at the same address. Do you have the name of the sister or cousin? If we can locate them, it may make it easier to find Thomas.
