I think I have found him!!! In Brisbane in the 1840s-1880s there was another series of cemeteries located under what is now a sporting stadium. We have on our index a Thomas Chambers that died in 1867. No parents listed on the death certificate. However on the funeral notice it mentions his procession leaving the home of a Mr Charles BIRD. Mary Jane Chambers Married a Charles BIRD in 1864. So looks interesting.. will let you know if I find anything else. Cheers Sue.
