I am looking for any information about Ellen MADDEN, baptised 25/7/1853 (Probably in Brisbane), daughter of John MADDEN and Ellen KEOGH. Any help on this girl would be appreciated. Greg

Hello Greg Ellen KEOGH (born 1818 Donohill, Tipperary, Ireland), married in 1836 in Donohill, Tipperary, Ireland, to John MADDEN (born 1919 Tipperary). They migrated on the "ARGYLE" in 1852 with the following children: - Mary (1835-1923) married Charles GILL - Bridget (1837-1914) married Martin CARMODY - Thomas (1844-1928) - Michael (1850-1932) married Mary Elizabeth FANNING - Ellen born 1853 in Qld, christened 11Jan1854 at St Marys Parish, Ipswich. John MADDEN's father was also John MADDEN and his mother was Ellen DWYER. Another brother, Thomas also migrated to Australia on the "FLORENTIA" in 1853 and he married Mary SLATTERY. They had at least 7 children. NOW, I know a lot on this family, I have common relatives with their descendants. I know nothing on young Ellen, but would be interested in knowing what happened to her. My interest lies in the fact that my MADDEN family migrated in 1863 and settled in the same district as these brothers, and their children had common names, like Michael and John..... Also, descendants of this MADDEN family married descendants of my MADDEN family...
