The Ryerson Index currently has vacancies for indexers to cover many Queensland papers. We prefer indexers who have access to the printed version of their paper. In a pinch it is possible to index from a newspaper website, but we have identified problems with some websites whereby not all printed notices appear on the website, hence our preference for the printed source. If you are interested, please visit www.ryersonindex.org and click on the "Newspaper Coverage" link. Scroll down to the "Queensland" section and check your paper by clicking on the link, and then clicking on the "Details of Dates Indexed" link. If the dates shown are not up-to-date (to within the past month or so), then you can make a difference by indexing the paper! And if your local newspaper is not included on the list, then we certainly want you! We supply the indexing software and a comprehensive training course. All we ask in return is a few minutes of your time each day, or week, or whenever you can spare it, to index the notices. For those of you reading this but with no access to a paper we want to index, don't despair - we have scanned copies of papers available which you can download, and they can be indexed from anywhere in the world.
