    1. [AUS-QLD] Query Please
    2. Hi Listers I am hoping someone out there who is a bit of a history buff, just might be able to help me please. I have located that Magdalene Dick, and her husband William Heddle Dick are the great grandparents of a member of our family (married one of my cousins). I was going to gather in a little data about this Magdalene Dick for the family records but can find nothing about her. She is known to be the first lady superintendant of the first Telephone Exchange in the then "Colony of Queensland", yet her story seems rather elusive. I know she died in Brisbane on the 22nd July 1922 (I dare say I could get her death certificate, but that is not going to give me any history about her quite unique career for that period of time, as she juggled that and rearing her family) and had been a widow for some twenty-nine years. I cannot seem to locate her marriage to William, nor even when and where she was born. Is she on anyone's tree, who might be able to enlighten me please? Thankyou Margaret ******************************** Margaret Bauer Queensland, Australia margaret@margbauer.com www.margbauer.com ********************************
