I think the Searles who had the store in Winton were a different family. George William & Annie Mary Searle had about 7 kids by 1917 (didn't think the Qld BDMs went to 1917). One of the kids was Victor Ralph. I see a Victor Thomas and Richard Raymond in Winton on the elec rolls in 1949. Victor was the barber (used to cut my hair) and Richard (Richie) had the clothing store. The Searles owned the store from 1946.
