Of much interest was the double wedding celebrated at the Cracknell- road Congregational Church on Saturday evening, when Mr. Reginald Harold Thorsborne (son of Mrs W. A. Thorsborne, High-street Southport) and Miss Anna Mary Searle (daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Searle, Roseden, Waldheim-street, Annerley) and Mr. George Lawrence Searle (son of Mr and Mrs. W. G. Searle) and Miss Constance Pilster (daughter of Mrs. M. Pilster, Heilly-street, Clifton Hill)were married. Rev. H. Beharell performed the ceremonies. The former bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of ivory mariette and lace, mounted over satin, and made to ankle-length. She wore a soft veil, and carried a bouquet of red roses. Miss Mabel Searle attended her sister as bridesmaid, and wore a frock of powder blue mariette, and carried a bouquet of pink roses and camellias. Mr. Roy Thorsborne (brother of the bridegroom) was best man. The latter bride wore a frock of bridal satin, with a tulle veil, and carried a bouquet of white camellias and roses. She was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr. A. Loseby, and attended by her niece, Miss Jean Loseby, who wore a frock of lemon taffeta, and carried a bouquet of lemon roses. Mr. Victor Searle attended his brother as best man. Mrs. North presided at the organ, and, at the conclusion of the ceremonies a reception was held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Searle at Annerley. Mrs. W. G. Searle wore a black crepe de Chine ensemble, and carried a posy of lemon rosebuds. Mrs. W. A. Thorsborne wore a frock of grey georgette, and carried a posy of lavender sweet peas. Mrs. M. Pilster chose a floral ensemble, and carried a posy of pink azaleas. The honey- moons are being spent at Scott's Point. Mrs. G. L. Searle chose for her travelling frock green floral crepe satin, and a hat to harmonise, and Mrs. R. H.
