Hi Would anyone have the above people in their family tree? George married Elizabeth (Lizzie on the index & born in the UK) in Qld on 1/8/1893 and they had 6 children to 1903. The first child was registered as PAYNTER. Then, allegedly, it was discovered that George was already married and his marriage to Elizabeth was annulled. I have not been able to find out what happened to George Pitchford THOMPSON. No death information. No birth information either. Would there be any information on the marriage record if it was annulled? Then in 1905 in Rockhampton, Qld, Elizabeth married Herbert DARE (a sort of relation of mine). Elizabeth is PAYNTER on the marriage index. Herbert and Elizabeth lived in Gladstone and Rockhampton and are buried there. I have found them on the electoral roll and I am in touch with a grand daughter. They had 4 children. Thanks Janelle. I have that information. I was wondering if their marriage certificate would show if the marriage was annulled. I cannot find anything on his alleged previous marriage or his death. I don't really want to get the marriage certificate as I am not related to either George or Elizabeth but am hoping one of the rellies of Elizabeth and 2nd husband Herbert Dare will.
