Hi Is anyone researching the above person? I am trying to find information on him for a book I am writing. There is a gap in his life from when he arrived from England on the “Jumna” at Rockhampton in February 1888 until he married Elizabeth Jane PAYNTER in Rockhampton in 1905. He is on the Commonwealth Electoral Roll from 1908 (Gladstone & Mt Morgan) then Ambrose and then Rockhampton until he died in Rockhampton in 1949 so I am mainly wanting to know where he was from 1888 to 1905. His brother Robert came out two years earlier and would have been in the Tambo or Blackall area when Herbert arrived so maybe he went out there for a while. Thanks Ian Kelly Sandstone Point Queensland
